Propulsion Test Team Lead

As the Propulsion Test Team Lead, you will spearhead the testing and fueling of our propulsion systems. You will guide and further develop a team of elite propulsion test engineers and technicians to ensure successful mission outcomes.

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of propulsion test engineers and technicians responsible for testing satellite propulsion systems, including managing hiring and direct reports.
  • Establish and uphold quality standards and processes for effective verification of unit-level and system-level hardware. Analyze non-conformances to identify root causes and formulate corrective action plans for system enhancements.
  • Oversee daily propulsion test operations, including developing processes to allocate and monitor work across production and development testing programs.
  • Foster a culture of safety and quality throughout the work environment.
  • Assess proposed designs for testability and collaborate closely with design engineering teams to facilitate factory output growth targets of up to 24 vehicles annually.
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate detailed schedules, ensuring team members and stakeholders are informed of tasks and deadlines while identifying and acquiring necessary resources.
  • Manage the test infrastructure required for current and next-generation propulsion systems, including factory layout, safety equipment, and test beds.
  • Engage hands-on with flight hardware alongside your team to guarantee mission success.
  • Develop ironbirds (test beds) for conducting flight-like development and qualification testing.
