Key Responsibilities:Strategy & LeadershipDevelop and implement a comprehensive global Sales L&D strategy aligned with revenue targets and go-to-market priorities. Create a multi-year roadmap that encompasses onboarding, continuous development, leadership training, and role-specific learning pathways. Collaborate closely with leadership in Sales, Product Marketing, Revenue Operations, and Customer Success. Program Development & ExecutionDesign and deliver impactful programs that include:Onboarding for new hiresCore sales methodologiesProduct and industry knowledgeExecutive selling techniques and deal strategyUtilize blended learning methods (live sessions, digital content, cohort-based training, and experiential learning). Performance ImpactCraft L&D initiatives with clear learning objectives that directly contribute to achieving Sales’ business outcomes.

The Learning and Development (L&D) Programs Lead will spearhead the strategy, design, and implementation of innovative learning and development initiatives aimed at enhancing sales performance. This role integrates sales enablement, adult learning principles, and revenue strategy into a cohesive framework, establishing a scalable system that reduces ramp-up time, boosts win rates, and ensures consistent execution across our global sales team. You'll play a critical role in equipping Appian's sales professionals with the skills, insights, and behaviors essential for success in complex enterprise sales environments.

This position is based at our headquarters in McLean, VA. Appian values in-person collaboration, viewing it as vital to our mission of excellence.
