About the job
Our Mission
At Neko Health, we are on a mission to revolutionize healthcare by transitioning from a reactive model of treating illnesses to a proactive approach focused on prevention. Our advanced non-invasive technology, combined with clinical expertise, empowers individuals with early, actionable health insights.
Role Overview
As a Lead Software Engineer within the Product Engineering team, you will take charge of designing and developing high-quality, fail-proof user experiences for our member-facing applications and clinical processes. This pivotal role merges deep system design, innovative product thinking, and excellence in AI-driven engineering.
You will set the standard in an environment where engineers prioritize understanding the 'why' before determining the 'how.' You will own outcomes end-to-end and seek architectural innovations or automation that can deliver substantial improvements. Collaborating across Product, Data Science, and Hardware teams, your decisions will have a direct impact on member trust, clinic reliability, and Neko's growth trajectory.
What You Will Achieve in Your First 6 to 12 Months
Become an integral contributor within the first 3 months, taking ownership of significant areas within the Member Experience or Medical Excellence product domains.
Design and implement end-to-end features that greatly enhance customer journeys, ensuring smooth, resilient, and clinically safe experiences.
Introduce and advocate for AI-first workflows, utilizing tools like Claude Code to streamline processes, allowing you to focus on impactful system design.
Clarify challenges in ambiguous areas, proactively identify issues, ask insightful questions regarding context and intent, and provide transparent feedback even when solutions are not straightforward.
Lead essential reliability and quality initiatives to ensure that member-facing systems are robust, scalable, and capable of sustaining Neko's rapid expansion.
Mentor and influence fellow engineers, elevating standards for technical excellence, problem-solving, and customer-centricity.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Product, Data Science, and Hardware to ensure system design aligns with real-world clinical and operational requirements.
