What will you be doing?
The Lead Software Engineer will act as a key technical expert, guiding the architectural design and implementation of software and technologies while leading a small team of engineers. This role involves hands-on contributions to the development of high-quality, testable software solutions utilized throughout the DCI Software product line. As a technology leader, you will be the primary point of escalation for production issues and will play a critical role in making technology decisions across the product line.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with software development, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver exceptional technology solutions.
- Lead a team in designing and developing solutions for DCI Software’s most significant technical challenges.
- Mentor junior engineers to foster their growth and skills.
- Create modern, architecturally robust components, tools, and applications aligned with strategic business objectives.
- Integrate service quality attributes such as scalability, manageability, and maintainability into distributed frameworks to enhance business capabilities.
- Utilize industry best practices to assess, rectify, and prevent vulnerabilities throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Promote a culture of innovation and accountability while adhering to Agile methodologies.
- Research and prototype new or alternative software solutions to improve the quality of our products.
- Support process development and enhancements in line with ITIL best practices.
- Take on additional projects or responsibilities as assigned.
