HyperHug is an international game studio specializing in shooter titles. The team operates remotely, with headquarters in Cyprus and members based around the world. HyperHug is developing Oxide: Survival Island, a multiplayer survival shooter built for mobile devices.
The studio is hiring a Level Designer to help shape Oxide: Survival Island. This position focuses on creating environments that support gameplay, exploration, and player interaction. The role involves close collaboration with design, art, and engineering teams.
What you will do
- Design and build game environments from concept to final implementation, including layout, blockouts, assembly, and integrating gameplay elements.
- Maintain quality and ensure environments meet technical and external requirements.
- Optimize levels for mobile performance and technical standards.
- Work with artists and other designers to achieve strong visuals and smooth gameplay flow.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience as a Level Designer on PC/console or midcore mobile games.
- A portfolio that demonstrates your level design work.
- Strong technical skills with the Unity engine.
- Extensive experience playing multiplayer games.
- Solid understanding of open-world level design principles.
- Ability to take ownership and work independently.
- English proficiency at B1+ and Russian at C1 level.
