Your Role

From our warehouse, we supply a diverse array of orders to over 70 Van der Valk hotels, ranging from tea to ice cream, and from candy to soup. As the demand for our products continues to grow, your role as a Logistics Team Leader will be crucial in ensuring that all logistical processes run smoothly to deliver orders on time. This includes overseeing incoming and outgoing goods, order picking, dispatching, warehouse layout, and returns sorting. You will collaboratively drive these processes, proactively contributing ideas and taking the initiative to elevate our warehouse operations. Additionally, you will maintain a safe and clean working environment and ensure accurate and timely recording of goods movements in our warehouse management system (WMS).


Will you ensure that all hotel orders are fulfilled together with your team?

As a Logistics Team Leader, you will manage a team of 15 employees. You will assign tasks, monitor productivity, and ensure the quality of work remains high. Continuous development of your team members is a priority. You will regularly engage in discussions to assess how you can support their growth. Your presence on the floor is essential, especially during busy periods when you will assist colleagues. In cases of escalation, you will be the primary point of contact. If solutions are elusive, you will liaise with the logistics supervisor to resolve issues.

Your Team

The distribution team currently comprises 30 colleagues who collaboratively manage the entire logistical process for our hotels. We operate in a culture of openness, fostering an environment where everyone supports each other and questions can be freely asked, often accompanied by a good laugh.

The Organization

Working at Van der Valk means being part of the most guest-friendly hotels in the Netherlands. Our mission is to bring smiles to our guests' faces! You will join the distribution centre of the Purchasing Department. This department handles strategic purchasing for over 70 Van der Valk hotels both domestically and internationally. Previously, we outsourced storage and distribution, but in 2022 we decided to bring these operations in-house, establishing a new and modern distribution centre near Eindhoven.
