Join our dynamic team as a Marine Electrical Engineer, where your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of our marine electrical systems. In this position, you will:

  • Conduct maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and execute repairs on all onboard marine electrical systems.
  • Service generators, switchboards, batteries, shore power systems, navigation lights, control panels, and other marine electrical equipment to ensure peak operational efficiency.
  • Implement and oversee Preventive Planned Maintenance (PPM) to uphold the integrity of all electrical systems.
  • Inspect, test, and maintain shore power supply pedestals for safe operation.
  • Prepare detailed Scope of Work (SOW) documents for electrical tasks during dry dock and routine operations, ensuring compliance with operational standards.
  • Supervise electrical work performed during dry dock, guaranteeing adherence to specifications.
  • Conduct final inspections and verify completion of electrical tasks prior to the re-commissioning of vessels.
  • Manage timely requisition of electrical spare parts and materials.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and maintenance records.
  • Respond to and resolve all marine electrical-related complaints efficiently.
  • Utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Report accidents, incidents, and unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Be on call for marine electrical emergencies 24/7, ensuring prompt response.
  • Represent the Marine Engineering department during inspections by authorities, providing necessary technical documentation.
  • Work independently under the guidance of the Marine Supervisor and Marine Maintenance Manager.
  • Provide regular updates to the Marine Supervisor, Marine Maintenance Manager, Assistant Chief Engineer, and Director of Engineering regarding work progress and operational status.
