Role Overview
The Marketplaces Demand Planner will take charge of demand forecasting and inventory visibility for Amazon (FBA) and Walmart. This is a fractional, execution-oriented planning role that plays a key part in preventing stockouts, minimizing excess inventory, and identifying risks early on, enabling teams to take proactive actions.

Key Responsibilities
1. Demand Forecasting
- Manage ongoing demand forecasts for Amazon and Walmart
- Balance stock availability with risks of excess and aged inventory
- Forecast utilizing imperfect data while clearly communicating assumptions and risks
2. Weekly Inventory Planning & Reporting
- Compile weekly demand and inventory coverage reports
- Monitor sell-through rates and inventory levels
- Identify risks and suggest necessary actions
3. FBA & Logistics Coordination
- Assist with inbound shipments to Amazon FBA
- Coordinate shipment details with Operations
- Minimize delays and errors related to inbound shipments
4. Inventory Health Monitoring
- Track stranded, excess, and aging inventory
- Collaborate with teams on markdowns or liquidation strategies
- Proactively flag issues to prevent urgent last-minute tasks
5. Operational Visibility & Improvement
- Provide concise inventory updates to leadership
- Identify recurring challenges and recommend process enhancements
- Shift inventory management from reactive to proactive approaches
