JOB SUMMARY

The Material Handler 1 (Strapper) is a crucial member of our manufacturing team, responsible for the effective palletization of finished goods while ensuring that pallets are securely wrapped for stability and neatness. This role also involves loading, unloading, and managing materials for assigned machine units, while operating various equipment safely and efficiently, including 227, Alphaliner, and Ferag. You will be accountable for meeting quality, output, and production targets.

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare all finished products in compliance with established USPS standards. Demonstrate proficiency in recognizing printed address labels on finished products and instruct the Logistics Tech to move products to the designated finish location.
  • Verify the correct materials for the production line and efficiently load and unload materials into machinery. Perform basic machine setups, including interfacing with machine controls, adjusting components, and troubleshooting issues as they arise. Respond effectively to indicator lights and display screens, taking appropriate actions to resolve problems. Clear jams and rectify errors on end-of-line equipment.
  • Adhere to safety and security policies to foster a healthy work environment, including maintaining housekeeping standards.
  • Engage in internal and external audits by providing necessary information, accomplishing assigned tasks for compliance, and preparing documentation to demonstrate that key duties have been executed as internal controls. Additional duties as assigned.
