Qualifications: Demonstrated experience in roles where meticulous attention to detail and documentation are crucial. Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment is preferred. Ideal candidates will have familiarity with order fulfillment processes including picking, packing, quality control, and shipping of customized products. Functional understanding of international shipping, shipment bookings, and inventory management. A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required. Ability to handle chemicals and hazardous materials safely is essential. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods while performing duties.

About the job

The Material Handler I is responsible for performing essential physical and administrative tasks related to the shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, storage, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment, while also supporting various logistics operations. Key responsibilities include verifying incoming materials, preparing shipping documents, routing shipments, and managing inventory within the warehouse and production facilities to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.

Shift Details: Friday - Tuesday (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the preparation, quality control, and shipment of finished goods comply with standard operating procedures, guaranteeing on-time and precise deliveries.
  • Manage the packing, shipping, receiving, and inventory maintenance of products and raw materials, as well as fulfilling customer orders efficiently.
  • Process purchase orders to maintain adequate stock supplies and raw materials across multiple labs within the organization.
  • Assist with quality assurance assessments for any discrepancies related to material handling.
  • Uphold a well-organized work environment (5S principles) to streamline material flow, data systems, and documentation during order processing.
  • Exhibit keen attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Resolve issues with transportation carriers and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the quality system and help achieve quality objectives through daily actions.
