This Mathematics and Python Specialist position focuses on creating and validating challenging computational mathematics problems to help test and improve AI systems. All work is remote and project-based, not permanent employment.

What you will do

  • Develop original computational mathematics problems modeled on authentic research workflows.
  • Create tasks that require Python programming to solve, using libraries such as Numpy, SciPy, and Sympy.
  • Design challenges that are too complex for manual solution within a reasonable timeframe.
  • Formulate problems in areas like number theory, combinatorics, graph theory, and numerical analysis.
  • Base problems on real research challenges or practical mathematical scenarios.
  • Verify solutions using Python and standard mathematical libraries.
  • Document problem statements clearly and provide validated answers.

Requirements

  • Degree in Mathematics (Pure or Applied) or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Python for numerical validation. Knowledge of MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, or similar libraries is also considered.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in applied mathematics, research, or teaching.
