Expertise in developing, editing, and maintaining metrology programs/templates for CMMs, portable arms, and optical systems to enhance consistency and efficiency. Experience performing dimensional inspections utilizing CMMs, portable arms, GOM/ATOS, and conventional tools to validate parts against CAD and engineering specifications. Ability to interpret and apply engineering documentation including 2D drawings, 3D models, GD&T, and related specifications.

Purpose

The Metrology Programmer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing inspection programs and templates across PC-DMIS, ZEISS Inspect, and PolyWorks for CMMs, portable arms, and GOM/ATOS optical systems. This role not only involves creating robust and efficient programs but also conducting hands-on inspections, operating advanced metrology equipment, and assisting technicians with reporting and data validation as required.

Acting as a technical anchor and collaborative resource, the Metrology Programmer ensures precise inspection accuracy, promotes standardization, manages programming priorities, and enhances team capabilities. Through in-depth knowledge, disciplined execution, and a consistent presence on the production floor, this role contributes to achieving precise, compliant measurement results that meet engineering specifications and improve production quality.
