QUALIFICATIONSRequired ExperiencePossession of a valid Tennessee teaching license or proof of enrollment in a job-embedded Educator Preparation Program. A conferred Bachelor’s degree is required. Successful completion of a criminal background check is necessary. Desired QualitiesStrong commitment to serving students from educationally under-resourced communities (highly preferred). Demonstrated success in teaching students from similar backgrounds (highly preferred). A minimum of two years of teaching experience is preferred. A passion for data-driven instruction is essential. As a Middle School Math Teacher at KIPP Nashville, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational journey of our students. Your daily responsibilities will encompass a variety of engaging tasks aimed at fostering academic excellence and personal growth.

Curriculum Development and Instruction

  • Design and implement innovative instructional strategies that cater to the diverse learning styles and needs of each student.

  • Utilize progress-monitoring tools to assess student performance and adjust teaching methods accordingly.

  • Leverage data-driven insights to guide instructional decisions and enhance student learning outcomes.

  • Provide constructive feedback to students daily, focusing on their academic and character development.

  • Exhibit strong pedagogical practices to elevate student engagement and learning.

Commitment to School and Classroom Culture

  • Collaborate effectively with your colleagues and contribute positively to the KIPP Nashville community.

  • Help cultivate a school-wide culture that meets the unique needs of our students, families, and staff.
