Join the dynamic team at Landers Kia as a Military Veteran Mechanic, where we empower skilled military Veterans to pursue an exciting career as a Kia Certified Service Technician. This initiative is part of the Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP) established by Kia America, Inc.
Job Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles, focusing on engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brakes, HVAC, and electrical systems.
- Accurately complete repair orders and warranty requests in alignment with Kia and Retailer policies.
- Conduct test drives to analyze, diagnose, and repair vehicle components using Kia diagnostic strategies and specialized tools.
- Deliver timely services and communicate effectively with the shop foreman and service advisor to enhance the customer experience.

Qualifications:
- Honorable Discharge from military service.
- Valid Driver's License from any state with a clean driving record.
- Technical or mechanical experience is mandatory.
- Must be willing to undergo drug screening and background checks.
Kia VTAP Apprenticeship Highlights:
- Full-time employment with a participating Kia Retailer.
- A program tailored specifically for Veterans, led by Veterans.
- Participation in a one-year competency-based GI Bill approved apprenticeship culminating in Kia Service Technician certification.
- Access to all necessary tools, equipment, vehicles, and training for the apprenticeship.
