Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. At least 3 years of experience in development, tool structure analysis, and molding manufacturing. Proven experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) projects from inception to mass production. Skilled in operating horizontal injection presses up to 250 tons, vertical clamp injection presses up to 110 tons, robotic loading/unloading, automated part handling, and vision systems. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to work collaboratively within a team and also independently in a dynamic environment. Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills. A resilient “Never Give Up” attitude with a commitment to meeting deadlines and achieving goals. Working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, 5S methodology, and ISO quality systems.

About the job

  1. Collaborate with Agile teams to release parts, BOM, drawings, specifications, and documentation for new projects including PFMEA, process flow charts, MVP/R, MP, and protocols for in-house plastic molding, ensuring the Molding team produces accurate protocol reports.
  2. Conduct quality checks on molds at the supplier's facility during each phase before they are sent for in-house production, encompassing both new molds and transferred molds from local suppliers.
  3. Assist the Molding team with mold repairs or modifications during production or when issues arise. Maintain communication and monitor the status of molds sent out for repair or modification.
  4. Support the creation of fixtures, selection of tampons, and ink materials for new products with printing. Assess the reliability of the printing process, evaluate printing capabilities, and recommend new machinery for upcoming projects as necessary.
  5. Work closely with the Molding team during the development of new products, focusing on injection and printing processes.
  6. Provide troubleshooting support for molding issues as needed on ongoing projects.
  7. Monitor the lifecycle of existing tools and recommend new developments based on client forecasts.
  8. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
  9. Drive continuous improvement in quality and efficiency, optimizing processes and reducing manpower through automation.
