Network Support Engineer
As part of our esteemed Mission Control Program (MCP) within the Customer Experience organization, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring operational excellence and the success of our edge cloud platform.
In the role of Network Support Engineer, you will uphold service quality by translating extensive monitoring data into actionable insights to preemptively address issues before they affect our key accounts and strategic enterprise clients. You are not just an operator; you are an advocate for problem management and continuous improvement, safeguarding the resilience of our platform for organizations within our Performance and Focus Centers. During critical platform incidents, you will act as a key supporter for these customers, collaborating with incident managers to prioritize mitigation strategies that maintain the stability of their unique traffic profiles. By working closely with various engineering teams, you will provide proactive troubleshooting, manage maintenance efforts, and lead analyses of contributing factors to effectively handle the most complex traffic scenarios.
Responsibilities
Transform high-velocity monitoring data into actionable insights for strategic enterprise clients, utilizing the Fastly Observability platform to identify and mitigate performance trends.
Lead Live Event Monitoring (LEM) initiatives during high-profile traffic events, ensuring a seamless digital experience for users.
Coordinate administrative updates via fastlystatus.com to facilitate transparent communication between engineering and revenue teams.
Champion strategic customers during maintenance planning to ensure timely notifications and identify necessary configuration updates prior to implementation.
