Join our expanding team as a Nightshift Site Engineer with one of our prominent clients located on the West Coast. This exciting opportunity is ideal for individuals looking to develop their engineering skills in a dynamic environment.

You will be reporting directly to the Engineering Supervisor, and your primary responsibility will be to deliver top-notch engineering services to the site. This includes ensuring the maintenance of plant, machinery, and services while upholding a safe and reliable operational standard. You will collaborate closely with hygiene, technical, and production teams to drive the success of our processing site’s objectives.

Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday (1am - 10am)


Key Responsibilities:

· Monitor and maintain plant equipment to ensure optimal performance and develop the site’s PPM structure for the Pirana asset care system.

· Guarantee compliance of plant and equipment with current legislation, including air receivers, lifting equipment, compressors, evaporators, and fire safety systems.

· Participate in the out-of-hours rota as needed; respond to process and fire alarms and support emergency services when required.


Qualifications:

· Proven experience working with electrical and mechanical systems.

· Completion of structured and practical engineering training (e.g., apprenticeship or HNC).

· Flexibility to cover shifts as necessary.

· Familiarity and experience with process control systems.

· A strong team player with excellent communication skills.

· Qualifications in IEEE with welding experience and/or general mechanical aptitude.

· Basic electrical skills on LV systems and familiarity with fish processing and plant equipment.

· Proficiency in recording issues and workload using a CMMS system is essential.
