By joining the Journey Beyond family, you will be a crucial contributor in helping us share extraordinary places and create enduring memories for our guests.ABOUT THE ROLE:Envision preparing dishes that linger in guests' memories long after their adventures conclude: a meal savored under the starry Arnhem Land skies or a contemporary interpretation of bush flavors discovered in Cape York. At Outback Spirit Tours, these moments are integral to our daily service.We are on the lookout for Head Chefs, Sous Chefs, Chef de Parties, Cooks, and Kitchen Attendants to become part of our Camps and Lodges teams across WA, NT, and QLD. This is an exceptional opportunity to showcase your culinary talents in some of Australia’s most breathtaking settings, inspired by the natural landscape.You'll reside onsite for the season (typically 5–10 months), with meals and accommodation provided, and work within a cooperative team where collaboration is vital. Our kitchens are central to the guest experience and equally vital for nourishing our staff with wholesome, nutritious meals.At Outback Spirit, teamwork is paramount. No task is too small; even our Head Chefs pitch in with dishwashing, because in remote locations, true collaboration is essential.Key Responsibilities:Prepare high-quality meals for guests that reflect the distinct character of each region, with a focus on flavor, presentation, and consistency.Craft nutritious and fulfilling staff meals that sustain the team through long, active days.Uphold stringent food safety and hygiene standards, ensuring full compliance with Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations.Oversee daily kitchen cleanliness, including dishwashing and equipment maintenance.
