Full-time|On-site|Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia The Mechanical Energy Solutions Engineer at Solarvest EE plays a pivotal role in the design, implementation, and optimization of mechanical energy efficiency solutions. This position emphasizes HVAC systems, chillers, air handling units (AHU), air compressors, boilers, and Thermal Energy Storage (TES) systems. The individual will conduct thorough technical assessments, craft tailored energy-saving solutions, and ensure the successful delivery of energy efficiency projects across industrial, commercial, and municipal sectors.Key Responsibilities1. Energy Efficiency Solution Development Design and implement mechanical energy efficiency solutions, incorporating HVAC systems, chillers, AHUs, cooling towers, boilers, pumps, and compressed air systems. Develop innovative Thermal Energy Storage (TES) solutions to optimize cooling demand and mitigate peak energy consumption. Carry out load calculations, system sizing, and thermal modeling to enhance overall energy performance. 2. Technical Assessment and System Analysis Conduct comprehensive site assessments to identify inefficiencies in existing mechanical systems and uncover potential energy-saving opportunities. Analyze energy consumption patterns, system performance, and process inefficiencies to propose enhancements. Collaborate with the Energy Analyst to interpret audit results and convert them into actionable mechanical energy solutions. 3. Project Execution and Implementation Supervise the installation, commissioning, and validation of mechanical energy efficiency solutions, ensuring seamless integration into client facilities. Perform performance testing and measurement & verification (M&V) to confirm that implemented solutions achieve the anticipated energy savings. Work alongside electrical energy solutions engineers to combine mechanical and electrical energy-saving strategies for comprehensive EE projects. Engage with stakeholders to understand their energy objectives, address concerns, and provide regular project updates. 4. Research and Innovation Stay abreast of cutting-edge mechanical energy efficiency technologies, including next-gen TES, HVAC automation, and energy recovery systems. Identify and assess new products, design methodologies, and best practices to improve the outcomes of energy efficiency projects. 5. Compliance and Reporting Ensure adherence to industry regulations, energy efficiency acts and standards, and green building certifications (e.g., ISO 50001, GreenRE, LEED). Prepare and present detailed technical reports, system designs, and project documentation.
