Reporting to the Board of Trustees, the Executive Director will act as the chief executive and educational leader, responsible for the quality of the academic program, organizational health, financial sustainability, and community trust.This role is ideal for an experienced K–8 school leader ready to nurture a cherished progressive school, enhance academic and operational systems, and instill clarity, consistency, and rigor without sacrificing Elysian’s joyful, student-centered ethos. The Executive Director will maintain a visible and hands-on presence within the school community, balancing strategic leadership with daily problem-solving in a small-school environment.The impact of this role is significant: the Executive Director will help sustain Elysian's identity, support middle school readiness, maintain staffing and systems, and cultivate trust through transparent leadership, ensuring that Elysian remains a high-quality public charter school.
