Full-time|On-site|Louisville Role Overview: We are seeking a dynamic Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) to enhance our financial operations. The SFA will play a pivotal role in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, billing, and reporting across various contracts and operating units in the U.S. This position will collaborate closely with Operations leadership to deliver actionable insights into financial performance, elucidate budget variances, analyze financial trends, and optimize the timing of receivables collections. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, contract-driven environment and possesses the ability to translate complex financial data into strategic action for non-financial stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as a strategic finance partner to the Director of Finance and local Program Directors, alongside corporate stakeholders.Assess contract performance, revenue trends, cost factors, headcount efficiency, and margin outcomes.Convert financial outcomes into strategic insights to aid operational decision-making.Identify potential risks and opportunities, propose mitigation strategies, and proactively escalate issues.Facilitate contract-level financial assessments, operational reviews, and monthly business discussions.Budgeting, Forecasting, and Variance AnalysisLead the budgeting and forecasting processes for assigned contracts, ensuring accuracy and timely submissions.Create and maintain dynamic financial models reflecting revenue drivers, cost assumptions, and reimbursable elements.Conduct variance analysis (budget vs. actual vs. forecast) with clear rationales for revenue, expenses, and EBITDA impacts.Monitor financial trends and preemptively highlight indicators of performance deviations.Billing, Revenue, and Receivables OversightCollaborate with Operations to guarantee billing accuracy, completeness, and compliance with funding requirements.Review billing files and documentation to support timely and precise invoicing.Manage accounts receivable aging and collaborate with Operations teams to enhance collection efficiency.Ensure the accuracy of revenue recognition by tracking and validating milestones and reimbursable items.Financial Reporting and Performance TrackingProduce contract-level and consolidated reporting packages for leadership, featuring KPIs, dashboards, and trend analyses.Support month-end closing activities, including the validation of accruals, prepaid items, revenue entries, and other contract-related adjustments.Standardize reporting templates across entities to foster consistency and clarity.Assist in preparing materials for executive leadership, funders, and internal audits.Process Enhancement and Cross-Functional Teamwork: The SFA will also contribute to process improvement initiatives and provide support across various functions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
