Full-time|On-site|Pune, Mahārāshtra, India Overview:The role of a Network Engineer at tgs is crucial for maintaining the stability and integrity of our in-house voice, data, video, and wireless network services. This position involves the meticulous planning, designing, and development of both local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) throughout the organization. The Network Engineer will also engage in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware, software, and communication links. Furthermore, this role entails timely analysis and resolution of network hardware and software issues, along with providing necessary training to end users.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Planning:Work in collaboration with department leaders to gauge both immediate and future network capacity requirements.Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation regarding network configurations, mappings, processes, and service records.Formulate, implement, and uphold policies and procedures for network administration, usage, and disaster recovery training programs.Design & Deployment:Architect and implement LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, incorporating routers, hubs, switches, firewalls, UPSs, and additional hardware.Research networking products, services, protocols, and standards to stay updated with industry advancements.Manage both new and existing hardware and software upgrades.Engage with vendors and contractors to negotiate and secure network products and services.Operational Oversight:Configure networks to ensure smooth and reliable operations that meet organizational objectives.Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.Maintain network connectivity for all servers, workstations, telephony equipment, fax machines, and other network devices.Administer network asset management, including inventory maintenance and documentation of network components.Monitor and evaluate network performance, providing detailed statistics and reports.Contribute to the management of all network security solutions.
