Education / Experience / SkillsMinimum of a college degree in a science, engineering, or electronics-related field. At least 8 years of experience in a third-party laboratory, specifically in toy and children’s product testing, with a minimum of 2 years in a managerial role. Proficient in ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory quality management systems, with an understanding of laboratory operational rules and principles; internal auditor certification is preferred. Knowledgeable about the procedures for issuing testing reports for toys and children’s products, with the ability to evaluate testing data and results effectively. Strong command of English, both written and spoken, with a CET 6 or equivalent level.

About the job

Key Responsibilities

  1. Oversee the operations of the physical laboratory, including organizing and resolving management and technical issues related to testing activities.
  2. Conduct technical training and assessments for laboratory personnel, allocate testing tasks, and guide staff to achieve timely and accurate analysis and data review.
  3. Advise on and implement lean management strategies within the laboratory, continuously improving operational processes for enhanced efficiency.
  4. Confirm and analyze new development and R&D projects, ensuring the laboratory effectively completes method development, verification, and implementation.
  5. Develop plans for inter-laboratory comparisons, capability verifications, and proficiency testing, overseeing the updating, confirmation, and verification of analytical methods.
  6. Organize project reviews and assessments for significant instrument purchases, approve technology-related operational guidelines, and ensure the quality of test reports produced by the company.
  7. Regulate the use and management of laboratory personnel, equipment, and materials to prevent unnecessary waste and losses.
  8. Collaborate with other departments to meet the company’s annual operational targets.
