Position Overview
As the Plant Operations Manager at Twelve, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the operations of our Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) facility. Your responsibilities will include managing the production processes, ensuring maintenance and reliability, enforcing safety and regulatory compliance, and optimizing overall plant performance.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in hydrocarbon or naphtha production, particularly in jet fuel production. A strong understanding of sustainable practices and a proven history of successful operations management in a chemical plant environment are essential.
This is an onsite position based in Moses Lake, WA, with occasional travel to our headquarters in Berkeley, CA.
Key Responsibilities
Develop comprehensive policies, procedures, and processes for the operation of Twelve's inaugural SAF plant. Oversee all aspects of plant operations, maintenance, and reliability, including production, quality control, and safety, in collaboration with the VP of Plant Design and Execution.
Effectively manage the plant's budget, establish sustainable production targets, and make strategic resource allocation decisions to ensure optimal safety, performance, and financial health.
Continuously monitor and analyze plant safety and performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities and implement strategic optimization solutions.
Cultivate a strong safety culture within the plant through regular safety meetings and audits, ensuring compliance with industry standards, while leading emergency response and recovery efforts to prevent future incidents.
Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to ensure the plant adopts sustainable, eco-friendly practices and remains competitive and compliant.
Recruit and onboard new team members to expand the plant staff, manage personnel issues, and foster a positive and productive working environment.
Support training and development initiatives to enhance team capabilities and performance.
