Role overview
The Platform Software Engineer will join the team responsible for all backend services at Speechify. This includes payments, analytics, subscriptions, new product features, text-to-speech functionality, and external APIs. The role suits someone who thinks strategically, enjoys product development, and has a strong track record of building user-focused solutions.

What you will do
- Design, build, and maintain APIs, including the public TTS API and internal APIs for payments, subscriptions, authentication, and consumption tracking, with attention to scalability and business needs.
- Oversee the backend API ecosystem, prioritizing performance and maintainability.
- Collaborate on B2B projects, handling customization and integration for enterprise customers.
- Work with teams across the company to align backend architecture with product goals and user experience.
