Position Overview:

We are on the lookout for a seasoned Process Chemist to become a vital member of our laboratory-based chemical development team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive hands-on experience in process research, route scouting, and the scale-up of organic molecules. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and executing synthetic processes that facilitate the efficient, safe, and scalable manufacturing of small-molecule intermediates and active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs). This position is laboratory-focused and requires strong experimental skills, a profound understanding of organic chemistry, and the ability to convert laboratory discoveries into reliable processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot synthetic routes for intermediates and drug substance candidates.
  • Conduct laboratory experiments aimed at enhancing yields, selectivity, throughput, and impurity management.
  • Perform detailed reaction analysis utilizing HPLC, GC, LC-MS, and other analytical methodologies.
  • Execute impurity identification and synthesis.
  • Identify and mitigate process risks concerning safety, scalability, and robustness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including analytical chemistry, formulations, and quality assurance.
  • Prepare concise, data-driven reports and present experimental findings to project teams.
  • Facilitate technology transfer to contract manufacturing organizations, including review of master batch records and process descriptions.
  • Maintain precise laboratory documentation and comply with all safety and regulatory standards.
