Anaplan seeks a dynamic Principal Solution Consultant to engage in pre-sales activities focused on addressing business and management challenges for our clients. This role will involve collaborating closely with our sales team to position Anaplan solutions as the cornerstone of clients' planning and management operations, complemented by a rewarding commission structure.

The role encompasses various business themes (FP&A, HR, Sales, etc.), and while no one starts as an expert in everything, Anaplan provides extensive training and hands-on engagement to enhance your industry, business application, and IT expertise.

Engage with key figures ranging from executive leadership to operational staff in dynamic discussions that deliver value, all while considering work-life balance.


Key Responsibilities: Pre-sales activities

  • Focus on pre-sales engagements primarily with large and medium enterprises in the Japanese market.


We are particularly looking for team members to cater to the following industries:

  • Assembly Manufacturing (automotive, high-tech equipment, industrial machinery)
  • Process Manufacturing (oil, chemicals, consumer goods, pharmaceuticals)


Core business themes involved in client discussions include:

  • FP&A: Mid-term business planning, annual budget preparation (revenue, expenses), variance analysis, management accounting, performance indicator management (P/L, ROIC, CCC)
  • HR: Workforce planning, personnel expenses budgeting, human capital information management
  • Sales: Opportunity forecasting, sales budget management, promotional planning, territory management
  • SCM: Demand planning, supply planning, supply-demand balancing, procurement planning

As planning tasks vary by industry, Anaplan’s versatile application allows engagement across a broad spectrum of discussions.


Key Missions Include:

  • Identifying core process challenges in clients' planning and management operations and crafting value propositions using Anaplan.
  • Considering industry and enterprise characteristics for major manufacturing clients to tailor Anaplan's unique features and create differentiated value proposals.
  • Positioning Anaplan as a planning and management platform within clients' IT landscapes while promoting the value of the latest industry-specific planning applications.
  • Accelerating the sales process through close collaboration with the sales team and maximizing value creation to expand business opportunities.
  • Participating in team cross-training and enablement initiatives to deepen knowledge of operations, industries, and products.
