About the job
Tessl is an innovative and rapidly expanding Series A startup located in London, established by Guy Podjarny. With over $100 million raised from prestigious investors such as Index Ventures, Accel, GV, and Boldstart, we proudly hold the position of #2 in Sifted EU’s B2B SaaS Rising 100 and #20 in Sifted's AI 100 this year.
At Tessl, we are at the forefront of a transformative shift in software development driven by AI. Our vision is that AI Native Developers will redefine features, architecture, and workflows through specifications rather than traditional coding, thereby directing the efforts of AI agents. We are creating a groundbreaking platform to support this new paradigm while spearheading the developer movement and ecosystem.
Joining Tessl offers you the chance to be an early team member, allowing you to influence the future of software creation and maintenance.
About the Role
We are developing the essential infrastructure that enables developers to collaborate with AI agents, focusing on the systems, standards, and tools that ensure agent-assisted software development is reliable, repeatable, and scalable. As part of a small team tackling a truly novel challenge, design plays a crucial role in our approach.
We seek a Member of Design Staff who embodies skill and curiosity. You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and researchers to shape user interactions with complex technical systems and workflows. This role is not about executing predefined tasks within an established product; it is about actively contributing to the evolving design patterns.
We expect this individual to cultivate a truly AI-native design practice, utilizing the best available tools to enhance efficiency, clarity of thought, and the overall quality of our work. We are not looking for sporadic use of AI; we want someone who is committed to integrating it into their workflow.
Responsibilities
Create intuitive and usable interfaces for core product features and developer workflows, striking a balance between simplicity and the depth that expert users require.
Transform intricate system concepts into user experiences that are thoughtfully designed and not overwhelming, basing your design decisions on actual user behavior and research.
Conduct user research with developers and engineers, translating genuine insights into well-founded, precise design decisions.
Collaborate daily with product managers and engineers throughout the project lifecycle to ensure design coherence.
