The Products Lead for Liabilities at HugoBank will be instrumental in crafting innovative liability offerings that transcend conventional deposit products. This role is dedicated to developing digitally-driven, value-adding financial experiences. The focus will be on creating unique product offerings, bundled services, and ecosystem-led initiatives that enhance customer engagement, improve financial health, and contribute to long-term customer value. The incumbent will oversee the complete development cycle of scalable, compliant, and customer-focused propositions, thereby reinforcing HugoBank’s market presence and supporting sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
Product Proposition & Strategy
- Develop and refine a dynamic product roadmap that harmonizes innovation, customer benefits, and business objectives while adhering to regulatory standards.
- Create a forward-thinking product strategy encompassing deposits, savings, transactional accounts, and value-added services for both retail and SME markets.
- Design innovative, digital-first savings and cash management experiences that enhance customer engagement and loyalty.
- Ensure alignment of liability strategies with the Bank’s objectives in financial inclusion, growth, and balance sheet management.
Product Development & Lifecycle Management
- Lead comprehensive product development from ideation through to business case formulation, regulatory compliance, journey design, testing, launch, and ongoing improvements.
- Transform concepts into structured Product Initiation Documents (PIDs) and Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) with clear specifications for Technology and Development teams.
- Conduct continuous competitive analysis and market research to pinpoint opportunities, gaps, and potential innovations within the liability sector.
- Collaborate with research and analytics teams to extract insights from customer behavior, applying findings to enhance product offerings.
Process Optimization
- Redesign the end-to-end liability product processes to ensure seamless and user-friendly customer experiences during onboarding, account setup, deposits, savings, and ongoing account management.
- Champion digital-first process innovations by utilizing automation, AI-driven workflows, and intelligent orchestration to enhance efficiency, reduce turnaround times, and bolster operational resilience.
- Develop and integrate advanced customer journeys to boost engagement and retention.
- Regularly evaluate performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement scalable improvements that achieve a balance of speed, compliance, risk management, and superior user experience.
Technical & Analytical Collaboration
- Work in close partnership with Technology, Data, Risk, and Operations teams to convert product strategies into robust requirements, ensuring the development of a scalable, modular, and future-ready liability platform.
