Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution. Master's Degree in Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution is a plus. Mandatory professional registration as an Engineer (COREN, NSE). Proficient in CAD applications such as AutoCAD, AutoCAD Inventor, or SolidWorks. Solid understanding of MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Familiarity with algebraic, geometric, and trigonometric functions for diverse calculations. Knowledge of USCG and ABYC standards is advantageous. Comprehensive understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing techniques. Deep knowledge of Building Codes. Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, along with strong presentation capabilities. At least 8 years of hands-on experience post-BSc qualification, with a minimum of 5 years managing small to large residential and commercial construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Project Engineer specializing in Mechanical and Electrical systems, you will be responsible for a range of critical tasks to ensure successful project execution. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Create detailed 2D and 3D models compatible with production standards using Autodesk software.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis of design proposals, specifications, and manuals to assess product feasibility.
  • Collaborate in identifying root cause issues, evaluate field installations, and recommend design modifications, developing and implementing corrective action plans as needed.
  • Prepare calculations and plans necessary for product certification.
  • Oversee fabrication and installation activities, ensuring compliance with engineering designs and customer specifications.
  • Analyze field installations and suggest design improvements to prevent malfunctions in machines or systems.
  • Provide technical advice and insights related to Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems.
  • Design, review, and execute plans for mechanical/electromechanical, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems, while supervising the preparation of associated engineering drawings.
  • Compile MEP Design Reports and seek approvals from pertinent regulatory agencies.
  • Evaluate mechanical and electromechanical systems and products by applying relevant engineering principles.
