Job Overview
We are on the lookout for a meticulous and seasoned Services Quality Engineer to become an integral part of our growing team. You will play a pivotal role in crafting and overseeing the quality standards that govern our global repair and maintenance operations. Collaborating closely with our engineering, production, and field service teams, you will establish repair standards, construct our ISO 9001 framework for services, and ensure our maritime platforms comply with stringent regulatory and performance standards. A robust background in U. S. Navy ship repair, coupled with a thorough understanding of Navy repair regulations, is highly desirable to guarantee our platforms are mission-ready and adhere to defense standards.
Responsibilities
Quality Assurance: Develop, implement, and sustain quality assurance protocols tailored for maritime repair and service processes. Establish baseline standards that facilitate international scaling of our service organization.
Navy Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all repair operations conform to the relevant U. S. Navy repair regulations and standards. Act as the internal authority on maintaining compliance within a defense maritime context.
Process Improvement: Identify and address areas for enhancement within the service and depot environments, proposing solutions that boost repair quality and efficiency. Lead Lean Six Sigma initiatives focused on delivering proven, successful project outcomes.
ISO 9001 Leadership: Build and implement the ISO 9001 framework from the ground up for the Services division, aligning with company-wide quality standards while ensuring that all service workflows are auditable and compliant.
Inspection and Auditing: Conduct comprehensive audits of existing depot locations and field service engagements, utilizing your technical expertise to assess repair integrity, structural components, and marine electronics.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain precise records of quality assessments, service work orders, and inspection reports. Develop and manage processes within Salesforce (SFDC) to track quality metrics and offer actionable insights.
Compliance and Standards: Guarantee adherence to maritime regulatory requirements, particularly navigating the ABS (American Bureau of Shipping) process for vessels and integrating these with Navy-specific repair protocols.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with cross-functional teams to foster a collaborative work environment that enhances service quality.
