Role overview
The Quality Manager leads Birdman’s Total Quality Management (TQM) system. This includes oversight of both Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) throughout the entire product lifecycle, from research and development through manufacturing. The role manages regulatory affairs and ensures the implementation, renewal, and maintenance of certifications such as USDA Organic, FSSC22000, and Kosher.
Managing the Analytical Development Function is also central to this position. The Quality Manager oversees laboratory operations, ensuring testing methods are accurate and reliable, and that both raw materials and finished products meet validation requirements.
This is a hands-on role with the chance to build and optimize quality systems, processes, and structures from the ground up. The Quality Manager protects Birdman’s brand reputation by upholding high quality standards across all operations and products, supporting the company’s long-term success and sustainability.
What you will do
- Lead and optimize the Total Quality Management system
- Oversee Quality Control and Quality Assurance for all product stages
- Manage regulatory affairs and maintain key certifications (USDA Organic, FSSC22000, Kosher, and others)
- Direct the Analytical Development Function and laboratory operations
- Validate testing methods, raw materials, and finished products
- Shape and improve quality systems and department structure
Requirements
- Experience in quality management within the pharmaceutical and/or food sectors
- Knowledge of quality assurance, quality control, systems, and regulatory affairs
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn business strategy into actionable plans
- Experience building or optimizing a Quality Department
- Team-oriented mindset and a track record of delivering results
