Company Overview
Founded in 1972, RACOM is committed to designing, selling, installing, and maintaining cutting-edge technologies integral to the “second half of the 911 response equation.” Our solutions encompass everything from the moment an emergency dispatcher takes a 911 call to the arrival of police, fire, and ambulance services on the scene, including specialized phone systems, pagers, radios, voice recorders, warning lights, and sirens.
With over 40 years of experience, RACOM has built an exceptional reputation for delivering high-quality products and services. In February 2023, Eastern Communications proudly acquired RACOM, expanding its workforce to 250 employees across 17 locations nationwide.
Role Overview
The Radio Frequency (RF) Technician plays a vital role in installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting RF communication systems essential for mission-critical operations in public safety, utilities, and transportation sectors. You will ensure optimal system performance, regulatory compliance, and a reliable communication infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in technology or electronics, with the capability to learn RF systems quickly. You should be adept at diagnosing and resolving complex issues, while effectively communicating these challenges to both technical and non-technical audiences. This role directly influences the functionality, efficiency, and safety of specialized communication equipment that serves and protects our communities.
Based at a local service center, the RF Technician will primarily support nearby operations, with occasional travel required for installations, operations, and training across various regions in the Pacific Northwest.
