Join our dynamic team at gem-technologies as a Reliability Engineer! We are looking for a qualified candidate with an active Department of Energy (DOE) Q clearance to support the Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, TN. This is a full-time opportunity to make a significant impact on our operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a strategic liaison among Production, Engineering, Projects, and Maintenance teams to offer expert recommendations aimed at improving equipment design, reliability, and maintainability.
- Play a vital role in streamlining asset management processes through proactive maintenance strategies that reduce downtime and enhance equipment reliability.
- Define and implement recommendations that bolster the reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, and safety/security systems.
- Deliver reliability-based technical support across Production, Operations, and Craft personnel.
- Collect, assess, and analyze data related to facility or equipment Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Inspectability (RAMI) specifications.
- Evaluate technical documents that detail reliability, accessibility, maintainability, or inspectability aspects of systems and equipment.
- Lead the integration of project and plant RAMI deliverables.
- Design proactive maintenance strategies for various structures, systems, and components.
- Conduct Equipment Failure Mode Identification and Root Cause Failure Analysis.
- Perform trend analysis on structures, systems, and components.
- Define, develop, implement, and monitor Asset Management Plans for different structures, systems, and components.
- Effectively deploy condition-based, predictive, and non-destructive testing methodologies to identify and isolate potential reliability issues.
- Complete and present RAMI and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) analyses to internal and external engineering partners, including critical spares identification, labor distributions, and life-cycle cost analysis.
