Recursion Pharmaceuticals is growing its chemistry team in Milton Park, England. The Research Synthesis Chemist joins the Automated Chemistry group, where the focus is on advancing drug discovery using automation and new workflows.
What you will do
- Design and carry out synthetic routes by combining classic lab methods with automated chemistry platforms, delivering high-quality compounds for drug discovery projects.
- Translate synthesis requests into detailed experimental plans for the Chemistry Automation platform, ensuring compounds and reaction data are delivered accurately and on schedule.
- Use technical expertise in chemical reactivity and methodology development to adapt and implement synthetic methods on the automation platform.
- Troubleshoot and resolve chemical or procedural issues in automated workflows, working with automation specialists when needed.
- Collaborate with scientists, automation engineers, and cross-functional partners in medicinal chemistry, software, and hardware engineering to enhance platform capabilities and project results.
- Maintain strong Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards to support a high-performance laboratory setting.
