Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced RF Regulatory and Licensing Manager to spearhead the spectrum licensing and coordination for our worldwide ground network. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing and executing licensing strategies across both domestic and international landscapes, ensuring compliant and timely site deployments. If you have a passion for navigating the complexities of engineering, policy, and regulatory execution, this opportunity is your chance to influence how Northwood leverages spectrum on a large scale.

Key Responsibilities:

Licensing Lifecycle Management

  • Oversee and maintain RF licensing data, including technical databases, application statuses, and issued licenses. Ensure that Northwood’s internal documentation remains current with summaries and statuses of license applications.

  • Manage the submission and renewal processes for frequency license applications related to Northwood’s global ground stations.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to compile, validate, and submit necessary documentation.

Regulatory Policy Strategy and Relations

  • Monitor existing and emerging radio communication systems, missions, and regulatory changes that are relevant to Northwood.

  • Formulate, assess, and propose licensing strategies that align with mission objectives, regulatory requirements, and associated risks.

  • Establish and nurture relationships with key regulatory agencies such as the FCC, NASA, MBIE, RSM, ITU-R, and others.

  • Engage with regulators throughout the licensing process to ensure timely approvals, enhance regulatory frameworks, and support policy initiatives that align with Northwood’s strategic goals.
