About the Role
We are seeking a passionate Robotics Perception Intern to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing the perception systems that drive our robots and support our field operations. You will tackle exciting challenges in both 2D and 3D perception in outdoor settings. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and is eager to contribute to the evolution of our products. A proven track record in building, training, and deploying computer vision models for robotics applications is essential, alongside a fervent interest in pushing the frontiers of robotics through AI.
This internship is available for a duration of either 3 or 6 months.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement 2D and 3D perception models for robotic applications in outdoor construction.
- Enhance our data collection infrastructure using our existing fleet of robots.
- Create dashboards for tracking performance metrics and model enhancements.
- Address challenges in bridging the simulation-to-reality gap, utilizing synthetic data for training perception models.
- Develop and optimize data pipelines, as well as training and validation frameworks.
- Improve the efficiency of training and inference times, and minimize memory usage on GPUs.
Qualifications
- M. S./Ph. D. in Robotics, Computer Vision, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering field (or equivalent experience).
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in developing 2D and 3D perception models for robotics.
