Core Responsibilities:Design, execute, analyze, and document experiments aimed at developing analytical methods and creating essential data packages for lentiviral gene therapies. Conduct analytical development and product characterization experiments utilizing advanced techniques such as multicolor flow cytometry, ELISAs, Western blots, qPCR/dPCR, cytokine assays, and signal transduction assays. Supervise the qualification of analytical methods. Draft, review, and approve technical documentation, including electronic notebook entries and standard operating procedures.

Role overview

This laboratory-based Scientist, Analytical Development position is part of Umoja’s technical operations team in Seattle. The main focus is on evaluating and improving the potency of lentiviral drug products. Key responsibilities include developing potency assays for drug substances and products at different stages, as well as preparing data packages for regulatory submissions.

What you will do

  • Develop and refine potency methods for lentiviral drug products throughout various development stages.
  • Prepare and compile data and documentation for regulatory submissions.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to deliver qualified and validated quality control release and characterization assays.
  • Create documentation for analytical methods and results.
  • Oversee method transfer processes to contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs) or contract research organizations (CROs).

Location and schedule

This is a full-time, on-site role in Seattle, WA. Laboratory presence is required five days a week.
