About the Position

We are on the lookout for a dynamic Scientist specializing in cellular engineering and stem cell biology to join our Molecular Engineering team within the Genome Engineering Technology Center. This role involves designing, generating, and characterizing engineered human pluripotent stem cell (hPSC) lines for genetic perturbation screens in complex organoid models, aimed at exploring the genetic underpinnings of neurodegenerative disorders. Key projects include creating optimized effector systems for robust gene knockdown and activation throughout differentiation, introducing rare coding variants to model disease-associated mutations, and implementing cutting-edge genome engineering technologies to enhance perturbation capabilities. Your contributions will be vital to the Institute's Alzheimer’s Disease Initiative, a comprehensive effort to advance our understanding of this critical area.
