Responsibilities:Execute stock-based compensation accounting and reporting activities for the monthly close process, including the preparation and posting of journal entries and variance analyses related to SBC and ESPP. Prepare and analyze Black Scholes assumptions utilized in SBC fair value calculations in accordance with ASC 718, including volatility, risk-free rate, and expected term. Conduct general ledger account reconciliations for equity-related accounts. Draft SBC-related disclosures for inclusion in Forms 10-K and 10-Q filings. Create equity-related reporting packages for management review. Coordinate with external auditors on equity/SBC matters for quarterly reviews and annual audits. Compile documentation and support SOX compliance efforts related to SBC. Prepare executive and director equity disclosures for Proxy statement filings. Assist in researching technical accounting issues and drafting preliminary conclusions primarily associated with equity.

Role Overview

The Trade Desk is hiring a Senior Accountant with expertise in SEC Reporting and Equity. This role reports to the Associate Manager of SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting. The position centers on managing accounting, reporting, and disclosures for stock-based compensation (SBC), including the Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).

What You Will Do

  • Oversee accounting and financial reporting for stock-based compensation and ESPP
  • Prepare required disclosures related to SBC for SEC filings
  • Work closely with teams across Accounting, Tax, Legal, SOX and Risk Management, People Operations, Investor Relations, Corporate Development, and Financial Reporting and Analysis
