Purpose
The Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer acts as the vital technical liaison between design and manufacturing engineers and the production team. This role centers around developing scalable, high-reliability automated machining and inspection processes. The engineer will be instrumental in driving process enhancements, solving complex production challenges, and effectively removing part flow obstacles. This position is about leading process innovation to facilitate rapid iterations, boost production efficiency, and enhance Divergent's capabilities to meet program demands.
The Role
In this role, you will spearhead the development, execution, and ongoing improvement of daily operations across machining, automated assembly, anodizing, inspection, and cleaning work centers. You will be a primary technical resource, addressing production issues, refining processes, and enabling scalability through strategic programming, tooling, documentation, and workflow enhancements. This hands-on, fast-paced role is crucial for delivering high-precision, high-reliability hardware across automotive, aerospace, and defense programs.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in the aerospace production environment, with direct involvement in the production floor, DFM, machining, assembly, coating, and metrology. A strong problem-solving mindset and process-oriented approach are essential for driving quality, speed, and consistency.
