These teams focus on two primary areas: 'Horticulture' and 'Building Automation', where we help clients automate their greenhouses and enhance climate control in utility buildings.
Located between Rotterdam and The Hague, in the heart of 'Het Westland', our campus in De Lier is where innovation flourishes. Priva, a family-owned business since the 1950s, has evolved from hardware to become a leader in software development for the horticulture sector. As we strive to dominate the digital landscape, we offer subscriptions for 'climate as a service' and focus on high-tech solutions for climate control, energy efficiency, and water reuse across various sectors including horticulture, indoor farming, and utility buildings such as offices and hospitals.
The Product Development department comprises 150 talented individuals across 16 teams, each with unique names such as 'Mavericks', '418', and 'High Five'. Our agile teams operate autonomously, managing backlogs, sprints, and stand-ups while maintaining close communication with our support and service specialists who relay invaluable customer insights.
How Do You Add Value?
As a Senior Developer, you will be instrumental in building and optimizing our robust platform. Your expertise in cloud services, particularly Azure, will be vital in developing and maintaining scalable, secure, and future-proof solutions. You will utilize your knowledge of essential Azure components including IoT Hub, Event Hub, Service Bus, Blob Storage, Azure Data Explorer, MS SQL, Azure AppService, and Azure Functions.
In this role, you will collaborate with a skilled platform team focused on backend infrastructure rather than customer-facing applications. Working closely with developers, Product Owners, QA Engineers, and Tech Leads, you will implement technical solutions, align on dependencies, and translate functional requirements into technical priorities, ensuring the quality and performance of our platform.
Additionally, you will share your knowledge and skills with the team, contributing to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
