Key Responsibilities:Analyze system requirements including EMC, Seismic, and other relevant standards. Create 2D and 3D models of Instrumentation and Controls chassis and related electrical equipment. Interpret electrical schematics and design connector panels, wire harnesses, and cable routing. Select and design connectors for optimal functionality. Conduct integration testing of designs and document results meticulously. Verify design specifications and generate detailed reports. Collaborate with clients to define project scope, review findings, and address technical risks. Work alongside technical leads to establish effective work plans, including timelines and processes. Apply engineering principles to ensure expected performance meets or exceeds requirements. Provide comprehensive analysis documentation in line with customer engineering procedures.

Role Overview:

The Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Chassis Designer will be integral to the I&C Technology team. This position is responsible for designing and implementing robust structures to securely mount I&C electronic hardware for safety-critical systems at power plants. A degree in engineering is typically required for this role. The I&C Technology team collaborates closely with electronic hardware design and qualification testing teams. Strong technical problem-solving skills, proficiency in design, familiarity with relevant codes and standards, and effective communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Note: Applicants must be U. S. citizens or permanent residents. This position allows for remote work with occasional travel (approximately 10%) to Wilmington, NC.
