Job Title: Senior Defense Capture Manager (Air Force)
Location: McLean, VA


SUMMARY

Take the lead in strategic capture initiatives across the Department of the Air Force, orchestrating opportunity development, collaboration, and the execution of proposals for high-stakes projects in AI, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and digital transformation.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Collaborate with the Business Development Executive to identify, evaluate, and prioritize strategic opportunities that align with mission goals and growth strategies.
· Oversee the entire capture lifecycle for complex projects, from conceptualization to proposal submission.
· Formulate and implement capture strategies that align with mission requirements, funding schedules, and acquisition methodologies.
· Assemble and lead cross-functional capture teams, including business development, solution design, proposals, delivery, pricing, contracts, and recruitment.
· Foster strong relationships with decision-makers and key stakeholders within customer organizations and industry partners.
· Conduct competitive analysis, develop win themes, and create value propositions that set the company apart.
· Collaborate with proposal teams to ensure submissions are compliant and persuasive, in line with the capture strategy.

QUALIFICATIONS

A Bachelor’s degree is required; an advanced degree and/or Shipley certification is preferred. A minimum of 10 years of experience in Capture Management, with at least 5 years dedicated to the Air Force sector.

· Over 10 years of experience leading captures in the Defense market.
· Proven track record of successfully securing complex full-and-open or large small business contracts.
· In-depth knowledge of federal acquisition processes and major contract vehicles (e.g., IDIQ, GWAC, BPA, OTA).
· Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills across business and technical teams, ensuring opportunities are effectively shaped for success.
· Familiarity with CRM tools like Salesforce and market research platforms.
