Qualifications

Responsibilities: Define, prototype, and validate advanced metrics that provide new insights into model performance evaluation for autonomy subsystems, focusing primarily on perception, prediction, and planning. Review existing training and testing coverage, then curate test sets that effectively represent Motional’s intended deployment operational design domain across various dimensions (e.g., agent types, interaction types, spatial mapping). Evaluate machine learning model performance against established metrics and testing scenarios. Analyze system-level performance and the contributions of subsystems to overall system behavior through extensive data analysis from on-road and simulation events. Establish performance requirements for autonomy subsystems, and support the team's ongoing development initiatives.
