Role Overview: Senior Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst

The Senior FP&A Analyst at LeanData plays a key role in shaping financial strategy and supporting business leaders with data-driven insights. This position goes beyond routine analysis, acting as a trusted advisor to leaders across the company. The analyst will drive planning initiatives, build scalable financial models, and deliver actionable insights on revenue, expenses, and business performance. Significant ownership of major functions or business units is expected, with a focus on promoting financial discipline and accountability.

This role reports to the Director of FP&A and offers regular interaction with senior leadership in a high-growth SaaS setting.

Location & Work Model: Based in Santa Clara, this position follows a hybrid schedule: three days in the office each week (Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday).

Main Responsibilities

Financial Planning, Forecasting, and Business Partnership

  • Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles, working closely with senior leaders to align financial plans with company objectives.
  • Develop driver-based models for revenue, headcount, and operating expenses to support accurate, scalable planning.
  • Identify risks and opportunities early, using data to inform and influence decision-making.
  • Manage scenario planning and long-term forecasting to support strategic and executive initiatives.
  • Act as a strategic partner to GTM (Go-to-Market) and G&A (General & Administrative) leaders, challenging assumptions and encouraging financial accountability.

Strategic Insights and Executive Reporting

  • Oversee monthly and quarterly business reviews, presenting clear, concise narratives to senior leadership.
  • Translate financial and operational data into insights that shape company strategy.
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy of key SaaS metrics such as ARR, churn, NDR, and CAC across the organization.
  • Highlight trends, risks, and opportunities, providing clear recommendations for action.
