Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define navigation system requirements. Identify, analyze, and select sensor solutions for inclusion in the navigation system. Create sensor models in simulation for thorough evaluation of the navigation system. Implement state estimation algorithms within flight software. Establish and execute test methods to ensure adherence to requirements, best practices, and regulatory standards. Assess navigation system performance through simulations, hardware-in-loop, and flight tests. Basic Success CriteriaMaster's degree in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or a related advanced field. Proven technical expertise in areas such as Kalman filtering, GNSS navigation, inertial navigation, or alternative navigation technologies.8+ years of professional experience in the development and testing of navigation algorithms. Experience in developing C/C++ flight software and utilizing Python for data analysis and reduction. Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities. Preferred QualificationsPhD in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or a similar advanced degree. Expertise in probability theory, fault detection and exclusion (FDE), sensor error/noise modeling, or GPS-denied navigation.
