About the job

Trunk Tools is at the forefront of transforming the construction industry, which is the second-largest sector globally, through innovative AI solutions. With our recent $40 million Series B funding led by Insight Partners, our total funding has reached $70 million, supported by prestigious investors like Redpoint and Innovation Endeavors. This significant investment propels us into our next growth phase, as we deploy AI agents across job sites.

Our goal is to redefine the future of construction with intelligent automation. Despite being a $13 trillion industry, many processes remain outdated. We are modernizing this space by integrating AI directly into field operations.

Founded by a team of builders and technologists from esteemed institutions such as Stanford and MIT, our software has been utilized by over 140,000 professionals in the field, impacting millions and facilitating over $10 billion in constructed projects. Our team consists of individuals who have firsthand experience in the field, providing us with a deep understanding of the industry's unique challenges.

After years of developing the 'brain' for construction, we're now launching production-ready AI agents, focusing initially on intelligent document processing and Q&A, while quickly expanding into essential operational workflows. Our workforce has doubled in the last year, now exceeding 65 employees, including over 25 engineers. We are in a rapid scaling phase and entering a period of hypergrowth, making this a rare opportunity to join us at such a pivotal moment.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

  • Feature Development: Design and implement new features and enhance existing functionalities within our product suite, including TrunkText and TrunkPerform.

  • Integration Development: Lead the architecture and development of complex integrations with third-party systems, optimizing connector design, authentication, and data synchronization while enhancing our integration framework for scalability and future enhancements.

  • System Scalability: Refine our backend architecture to accommodate the expanding requirements of our user base, ensuring robust and scalable systems.

  • Reliability Assurance: Ensure our applications are dependable and user-friendly, delivering a seamless experience devoid of bugs.

  • Strategic Contribution: Engage in product strategy discussions, contributing innovative ideas that could shape the direction of our offerings.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with various teams, including product management and user experience, to drive cohesive development efforts.
