Position Overview:
Join our team as a Senior Implementation Lead – Data Lake & Segmentation where you will play a pivotal role in architecting, deploying, and managing a robust enterprise-scale Data Lake architecture. This position demands a strong focus on data segmentation, security zones, and governance. You will lead the complete implementation process, from designing solutions to rolling out production and managing operations, while collaborating with architecture, data engineering, security, and business teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Lake Implementation & Architecture
- Oversee the end-to-end implementation of the Data Lake architecture, covering ingestion, storage, processing, and consumption layers.
- Implement a multi-zone data lake design (e.g., landing/raw, curated, trusted, consumption zones) in accordance with architectural guidelines.
- Guarantee the scalability, high availability, and performance of the Data Lake platform.
- Transform high-level architecture into Low-Level Designs (LLDs) and detailed deployment plans.
Data Segmentation & Security
- Develop and execute data segmentation strategies that consider:
- Business domains
- Sensitivity levels (PII, confidential, public data)
- Regulatory and compliance mandates
- Implement logical and physical data separation through:
- Access control policies
- Network segmentation
- Encryption and key management
- Incorporate identity and access management (IAM) and role-based access control (RBAC) across data lake layers.
Integration & Data Pipelines
- Lead the deployment and development of batch and streaming data ingestion pipelines.
- Integrate various data sources, including structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
- Ensure reliable data movement across segmented zones with appropriate controls.
Operations & Managed Services
- Manage post-implementation operations, focusing on monitoring, incident management, and performance optimization.
- Establish SLA/SLOs, operational runbooks, and escalation protocols.
- Provide L2/L3 support for Data Lake platform issues.
- Foster continuous improvement and optimization initiatives.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the technical lead for Data Lake delivery engagements.
- Collaborate with enterprise architects, security teams, and business stakeholders.
- Mentor data engineers and implement best practices.
