Senior/Lead Machine Learning Applied Scientist

Key Responsibilities:Design and develop scalable ML models capable of processing millions of requests per second while ensuring optimal performance. Translate business needs into precise technical specifications. Create ML models that meet memory and computational constraints, rigorously evaluate their performance, and effectively debug issues. Provide mentorship and technical guidance to fellow ML research engineers. Embrace rapid iteration, with a commitment to deploying new products and features for millions of users swiftly. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests. Engage in code reviews and participate in architecture and design discussions. Stay informed about recent technological advancements and evaluate their relevance. Contribute technical insights to enhance our research roadmap. Qualifications:5+ years of practical experience in applied machine learning. Demonstrated expertise in the complete modeling lifecycle: from building and evaluating to debugging substantial ML models. Experience with large-scale categorical and structured data. Proficient in real-time ML models, incremental learning, and online learning approaches. Solid understanding of ML fundamentals, including bias-variance trade-offs, loss functions, and evaluation metrics. Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent practical experience. Self-driven and thoughtful individual comfortable making independent technical decisions. Preferred Qualifications:Strong mathematical foundation relevant to ML (linear algebra, probability, statistics, matrix calculus). Experience in software engineering and development with large-scale distributed systems. Ability to collaborate with ML engineers to integrate your work into our infrastructure, including automating observability, deployment, quality assurance, and security.
